TEN’s services address the data and digital voice communications requirements of customers in the E&P, oilfield service and remote infrastructure industries within the Company’s service areas. The Company’s coupling of best-of-breed third party equipment and proprietary patent-pending CPE devices enable the Company to not only replace other more costly solutions, but render them obsolete. The Company’s offering addresses multiple communications demands including the following:
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (“SCADA”)
There are thousands of devices that perform monitoring or data collection activities in the typical oil and gas field. TEN’s services provides high speed connectivity to these devices allowing for more centralized monitoring and response.
Security
Theft, vandalism and terrorism are major concerns to both the oil and gas industry and the government. TEN facilitates networked alarm points, intrusion detection, video surveillance and personnel access.
Network Access
Through direct connection and Wi-Fi hot-spot installation, TEN provides internet services equivalent to those found in an office setting. All employees, contractors and service providers to the oil and gas industry use this capability.
Voice Telephony
Many smart phones are now operating via VOIP over a Wi-Fi connection. While TEN does not intend to initially support cellular handsets on the LTE frequencies (since there is none on the market), a pre-LTE handset can in many cases be used over a TEN Wi-Fi hot spot. In addition, any VOIP telephony hand or desk set is supported on the TEN networks.
Despite the multitude of technical and service advantages, TEN’s services are priced very competitively to VSAT alternatives. A typical drilling site VSAT installation will charge $80-$120 per day for grossly inferior service. TEN’s services will provide for unlimited data consumption and will be priced beginning at $300 each per month per site.
